Avalanche Studios: “Our Engine Is Evolving,” Experimenting With DX12 & Dynamic Tessellation

In an interview with DSOG, Barrage Studios' Alvar Jansson, Lead Graphics Developer on Mad Max, talked about the time to come of the Avalanche engine.

Alvar explained that the team is currently developing a new volumetric landscape system that will change the type of layouts they tin can have in open world games.

Alvar continues to add that the squad is also working on implementing DX12 support to it.

"The Avalanche Engine is definitely evolving. We're developing a new volumetric mural system that will change what blazon of layouts we can accept in open-globe games.
